The Dargan Institute delivers Ireland’s inaugural ‘Digital First Day’

It was an honour to present my new book to An Tánaiste Leo Varadkar T.D. In his role of Minister at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment he oversaw the creation of Ireland's national digital strategy, the Digital Ireland Framework, earlier this year.

I would also like to personally sincerely thank the Connected Hubs event hosts the length and breath of the country who strive every day to help the growth of their locality.

The ceaseless commitment of my colleague Nada Pupovac ensured all our hashtag#DigitalFirstDay event hosts had everything they needed for the success of their events. The support of the Connected Hubs team, in particular Stephen Carolan and Liam Horan, was key to empowering the movement within the national hubs network.  Thanks also to Catherine Butler Weir and Ciarán Conlon for linking up dozens of Microsoft volunteers with individual hubs for the day. And to our hub member business Kerryann Conway whose THE HIVE Agency handled all the comms for the big day.
