Today, Wednesday 16th is Ireland’s inaugural ‘Digital First’ Day, a nationwide initiative to tackle the digital divide at all levels of our society and to advance economic and social regional development across the country.

DigitalHQ, a founding member of the Digital Ireland Network has successfully completed the launch of the inaugural ‘Digital First’ Day with support from the Department of Rural & Community Development’s ARISE Strand 1 fund.

Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, TD today, 5th October, announced a range of flagship events taking place on November 16th as part of Ireland’s inaugural ‘Digital First’ Day.

Ireland’s first ever ‘Digital First’ Day will take place on November 16th 2022 with the goal of putting the power of digital to work in communities across the country, by creating a national conversation about the benefits of digital growth to people, organisations and communities in towns and villages across Ireland.
