Dargan Institute book on ‘Digital First Communities’ presented to Minister Calleary

It was a pleasure to present a copy of my new book on hashtag#DigitalFirstCommunities to Minister Calleary at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment Enterprise Digital Advisory Forum meeting yesterday.

On the agenda were proposals to advance the digitalisation of Irish enterprise and, based on our belief that micro businesses are essential to the vibrancy of Ireland's towns, I put forward Dargan Institute clg, Dún Laoghaire's proposal to commence a a pilot to address the hard to reach group of rural micro businesses.

The pilot could be run through a competitive LEO fund open to rural hubs through the National Hub Network to deliver digitisation initiatives to micro businesses located in their catchment area. Full details of our proposal are here - https://lnkd.in/epgY4U7U
